Although it is well documented that race and education are associated with breastfeeding initiation, the possible interaction between these 2 demographic variables has not been explored in a geographically stable, biracial population. This study explores the relationship between race, education, and breastfeeding among women in Louisiana. J Hum Lact. 24(2):175-185.

Key Words: breastfeeding • education • ethnicity • biracial
